The coffee is a bit over roasted in my opinion. Although, I feel like this happens a lot with organic coffee. The vanilla ice cream was good, but the pistachio is definitely fake, its basically tastes like almond extract. This place is really all about the atmosphere though, its super fun, and I appreciate the efforts to be good to the environment.

Great experience with a view! The options for vegetarians were limited and coffee was also not that great. The hammocks were limited too. But for experience it was worth it and its close to kaba bus. So if you are travelling few miles its worth all the hassle as you can go to hammock cafe as well as experience Kaba bus ride.

During the last day of Golden Week, every restaurant we could find in this area were closed. Hammock Cafe was the only one that opened. The scenery was beautiful! There was also a small playground area for kids. The variety of food was limited, only curry rice and hot dogs. Despite the name ("spicy curry") luckily it wasn't spicy at all, the meat was very fluffy and our 3 year old son liked it!

This cool cafe is next to a handful of other restaurants. Close to lake yamanaka and there is plenty of parking near by. The main benefit to this place is that it is dog friendly, lots of open space and cool little hammocks and swings. Somewhat a limited foot menu but I had a delicious chicken burger. Definitely a great stop and rest point (plenty of shade) if you have a pup!

There were plenty of free hammocks this cold December day. I really liked this place, the tea was good as was the food, it was more a snack than a meal though. The hammocks were big and comfortable!
